SCW is a young, dynamic company that consists of a mix of experienced entrepreneurs and young scientists. SCW Systems has produced a number of innovations in the field of technology known as supercritical water gasification. This new technology concerns the conversion of wet biomass (waste streams) into sustainable gas and reusable raw materials. Conversion takes place quickly, efficiently and cleanly. The demonstration facility will be completed in the coming years – as part of a phased process – to demonstrate the robust effect of the new technology on an industrial scale.
Construction of the world’s first industrial super critical water gasification installation commenced in Alkmaar in December 2016.
